Per-Hour Billing setup
Within the configuration page (in the 'Settings' menu on the left hand side), in the 'Events' tab, you can specify how per-hour billing should be setup, based on the following options. In all instances, if the 'minimum paid hours' has been set, it will be used regardless of the following settings.
Only use the hours rostered
This will calculate the fee for each person attending the event based only on the hours they have been rostered to attend the event. If someone works overtime, or not as long as they were supposed to be rostered for, the total fee calculated for that person is still based on the number of hours someone was rostered to the event.
Eg;
- If someone was rostered from 9am - 12pm (3 hours), and actually works from 9am to 10am (1 hr), then the fee calculated for that person will be based on 3 hours work (rostered hrs).
- If someone was rostered from 9am - 12pm (3 hours), and actually works from 9am to 1pm (4 hrs), then the fee calculated for that person will be based on 3 hours work (rostered hrs).
- If the minimum paid hours worked is set to 5, and someone was rostered from 9am - 12pm (3 hours), and actually works from 9am to 1pm (4 hrs), then the fee calculated for that person will be based on 5 hours work (min billable hours).
Always use the hours actually worked
This will calculate the fee for each person based on both the rostered hours as well as the actual hours someone has said they were at the event for. If someone works longer than they were rostered for, the system will use the time they actually worked. If someone doesn't work as long as they were rostered for, then the system will use the actual hours.
It is important to note that if someone's hours haven't yet been entered, then the hours rostered will be used instead.
Eg;
- If someone was rostered from 9am - 12pm (3 hours), and actually works from 9am to 10am (1 hr), then the fee calculated for that person will be based on 1 hours work (actual hrs).
- If someone was rostered from 9am - 12pm (3 hours), and actually works from 9am to 3pm (6 hr), then the fee calculated for that person will be based on 6 hours work (actual hrs).
- If someone was rostered from 9am - 12pm (3 hours), and their actual hours haven't been entered, then the fee calculated for that person will be based on 3 hours work (rostered hrs).
Use the actual hours only if over time has been worked
This will calculate the fee for each person based on both the rostered hours as well as the actual hours someone has said they were at the event for. If someone works longer than they were rostered for, the system will use the time they actually worked. If someone doesn't work as long as they were rostered for, then the system will use the rostered hours instead.
Eg;
- If someone was rostered from 9am - 12pm (3 hours), and actually works from 9am to 10am (1 hr), then the fee calculated for that person will be based on 3 hours work (rostered hrs).
- If someone was rostered from 9am - 12pm (3 hours), and actually works from 9am to 1pm (4 hrs), then the fee calculated for that person will be based on 4 hours work (actual hrs).
