The Sender ID can also be changed, such as to your company name (eg. My Company). This is restricted to 11 characters long and only letters, numbers and spaces can be included.
Using a Sender ID makes it easier for your staff to recognise messages sent from you, vs ‘VTEvents’ (the default).
From 1 July 2026, businesses whom would like to use their own Sender ID will need to have it registered before it can be used - this is done by;
In VTEvents, click ‘Register’ in the popup, followed by confirming their registration & your company details which will be used when registering
VTEvents will then pass across your details for registration with ACMA (Australian Communications & Media Authority)
ACMA (Australian Communications & Media Authority) will contact you directly to verify your information & check it’s accurate against the Australian Business Register (ABR -
ABN Lookup - it’s important to ensure information for your business is update to date and correct)
