Users and Permissions

You can update permissions for individual users by going to Settings > Users and Permissions. For more details, click this link

Positions & Roles people can take

You can create positions and roles, to which people can later be assigned to, by going to Settings >  Positions & Roles for People. There are two differences between a position and a role

  • A person can have many roles, but only one position
  • When a person is assigned a role, anybody in their group can look up their contact details through the "Contact Details" page on the dashboard.

Event Teams/Positions

 An event may require a team of staff to fulfil different roles or positions in supporting the event  You can create event positions (which are separate from a person's position in the organisation) by going to Settings > Event Teams/Positions and clicking the 'Add New' link at the bottom of the page. Groups

You can create a group by going to Settings > Groups, and clicking the 'Add Group' link at the bottom of the page. For more information about groups, click this link

Configuration

The behaviour of the event management system can be customised through the settings found under Settings > Configuration. Changes made under this section are done on a per-group basis; you can select the group that you wish to affect by using the 'Change' link next to the group name at the top of the page. If the group that you are affecting has any sub-groups within it, those sub-groups will also be affected.

Email & SMS Notifications

Default settings can be set for Email and SMS notifications through the 'People' tab. You can set these so that people will receive weekly emails, as well SMS notifications for event changes, etc. People can opt-out of these through their individual settings.

Expenses

You can set up expense types and the account code that they are associated by going to the 'People' tab and then clicking 'Expense Types'. These are used when exporting expense information to your accounting package.

Payroll

You can set up pay rates by entering a default pay rate and account code on the 'People' tab, and then clicking the 'Pay Rates' link at the bottom of the page to add additional pay rates as a percentage of the default rate. For more about pay rates, click this link

Allowances

In addition to per-hour pay rates, you can set up allowances (e.g. $5 phone usage allowance per hour) by clicking the 'Allowances' link at the bottom of the 'People' tab.

Invoicing & Hourly Rates

You can configure automatic event invoicing behaviours through the 'Accounts' tab. For more information about invoice click this link

Billing

You can configure billing rates for events through the 'Events' tab. For more information about billing rates, click this link

Audit Logs

You can track changes to all major components of the events management system by going to the area for which you wish to view changes (e.g. a person's page), and clicking 'View Modification History' from the 'Select an action...' dropdown menu at the bottom of the page. Accounting Package Integration

Information such as customer lists and payrolls can be imported into and exported from both MYOB and Xero. For more information, click this link

Support & queries

Impersonating users is an easy way to check any user requests which might arise – this allows you to effectively log in as that user to see what might be going on with their account.
